Me as an X-man
The question has recently arisen as to what powers I would want to have were I to be an X-man. Being a true nerd requires that I have this chosen out with great deatial; so here I go. I would have to start off with a visable mutation maybe only level 1sh which made my skin look super cool and allowed me to stand out from humans as a mutant.
My hair just looks that much cooler when its white. This ability would also lend itself to my 2nd level trait of turning invisible when there is no light since I would have the shifty appearance of shadows already. I would also enjoy the benefits of a level 1 healing mutant, just enough to heal faster and look younger for a good 150 years. Another nessecity for any cool mutant is of course flying which I would do by nodding slightly. With the basics covered its time for some real powers, I'm talking some high level 3 action so I would be fearless. My major abilities would span from the ability to steal light from around me to become a black void in combat, possesing the speed of light and therefore the ability to shift in time, and the ability to enhance other mutants powers so that they become up to twice as strong if I share a strong connection with them. That is pretty much it now although such abilities combined would lead to a level 5 mutant I expressed the individual parts so that you can see the full combination. Please feel free to leave comments about you're dreams of mutation. Just write them at like 1 in the morning so that you have as much fun as I did.

I don't know about all this levels stuff, since I'm not as hardcore as you, but I'd like a series of mental powers: telekenesis, teleportation, and mind-reading/control. I'd also like to be able to manipulate energy, through which I could control electrical storms, all electronics, as well as making myself invisible.
I wouldn't mind being able to turn into a cool animal, either, like a panther or a wolf, but I think now I'm just pushing it...

I think I'd really want retractible claws like Wolverine and an adamantium skeleton. And be super strong and fast. I would totally move into the forest and live off the land/animals. I put a /animals in because I wasnt sure if eating animals counted as living off the land, if it's just eating berries and grass and stuff.
As a side ability I think I would like to be able to grow facial hair at will. So if I want a beard, I'll have one, and a good looking one. Or if I dont want one, then I wont have to worry about shaving.

I think I would just magically have the ability to understand and speak any language as well as change my skin/hair/eye colour and teleport-but like at least level 6 teleportation so I don't have to see where I'm going in order to teleport safely like Nightcrawler had to. But this way though, I would never have to miss anyone and then I could travel everywhere and speak to anyone. So I'd be like Nightcrawler's sister or something because then that'd account for my variation on the shapeshifting abilities from Mystique my momma. And!! Then I'd be maybe like sister Rogue too and then if I ever got in trouble in my distant faraway places I'd travel to then I'd just suck the life out of the person that gives me trouble a bit. And I've always wanted to have dark skin so I could wear gold eyeshadow... But it's 2am here so ya... I'm done.

I would want 'sleep at will' super powers. and never ending energy would be fun. along with no nerve endings, oh wait, just joking on that one. Um instead of the lack of nerve endings, how 'bout indestructably strong and protective skin that still looks like any normal skin, but will not break and protects even my innards and bones! yeah. this is where the deception comes in cuz no one would know this is so.

Andrew, if I was going to give you a power it would be to achieve coolness..... okay really though, I think mine would be to turn off emotions at will, then you could allow yourself to never be distracted, or insecure or hurt. You could still experience them if you wished but you could also make them stop in a second. THat would be very useful

I originally did not chime in on this topic because I wanted my power to seem uber cool. I am now comfortable with the fact that my superhero x-man existence would not be cool. I think I would like to be able to make people think they were seeing little gnomes everywhere. It's like mind powers, but that's all I would want to do. Make people see little gnomes. And they would ride cats. I think it would be fun. That's what life as a superhero should be, fun. I get that they save the world but I think a guy who makes people see cat riding gnomes could help with that. Maybe?
